Miles Stair

Miles came to St. John in 1972 to work on the front desk of Caneel Bay Resort to “stay the winter and get a tan". Advancing to Food & Beverage Manager at the resort and meeting his then wife-to-be Susan augmented his love affair with St. John. Joining Holiday Home of St. John in 1985 was easy – both his parents had held Realtor licenses in Virginia while he was growing up. This natural progression led to enhancing his continuing real estate education (GRI, CRS, and CBB designations) and then purchasing the company in 1992. An avid sports enthusiast and active community leader, Miles’ affection for St. John has engrained him into the island’s weave of education, sports, and business involvement including President of Estate Chocolate Hole Landowners Association, Vice Chairman of Friends of the Virgin Islands National Park, and President of the Friends of the E. I. Sprauve Library, as well as always participating in many sporting event or activities offered on the island. Other athletic pursuits have included bicycling across America to raise funds for the Virgin Islands chapter of the American Lung Association and two Boston Marathons. His background knowledge of the island and business experience gives his real estate clients a unique buying and selling perspective of St. John.

Christie O'Neil

Holiday Homes was pleased to welcome Christie as a partner in 2001. This was just the latest move in a long and successful real estate career on St. John dating from 1985 when Christie and her sons sailed into Cruz Bay. After joining Holiday Homes in 1986, Christie quickly vaulted into the ranks of top producers on the island and has skillfully juggled the demands of raising twins, community service, and the many hours spent helping visitors to become island wise and fulfill their dream of ownership on St. John. Some of her achievements have included being President of the St. John Board of Realtors for two terms, many years as an officer of VITAR (Virgin Islands Territorial Association of Realtors) and Realtor designations GRI, CRS, CRB and soon CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) after extensive courses. She is a past Officer of the Board of Directors of Friends of the Virgin Islands National Park, and a past director for the Board of the St. John Yacht Club. She was St. John Chairperson of the VI America’s Cup Challenge (with a trip to NZ!) and in 1999 she bicycled across America for the American Lung Association. Her real estate highlights have included many consistent years as top producer on St. John, and sales of many of the highest end properties throughout the island. Christie has truly helped many people with their real estate needs on our island in the sun. She is currently President Elect of VITAR and will be President in 2007.

As a frequent visitor to St. John since 1972, Janet made the island her permanent home in 1989. She left Boston and her career as a national account sales executive for a large telecommunications company and began working for an established vacation property management business on St. John. This experience gave Janet an understanding of island rental properties and what renters and owners value in their island homes.  In 1997 Janet joined Holiday Homes. Sales achievements include waterfront and hillside properties and numerous home and condominium sales. Janet earned the GRI (Graduate Realtor’s Institute) designation in 1999. She is committed to providing the highest level of professional service to her customers and clients.   In addition to her local real estate affiliations, she is a member of Friends of the VI National Park, a past officer of the St. John Yacht Club, a participant in the benefit Eight Tuff Miles race, and a supporter of the Friends of the Elaine Sprauve Library and the Kids and the Sea (KATS) program.  Janet previously owned several condominiums on St. John and has owned her present island home since 1990.

Abigail Schnell

Abigail was born and raised on St. John. Working in her family’s pottery art studio and vacation villas from a young age gave her an early advantage in St. John’s unique real estate market. As one of the founding students of St. John’s first private elementary school, Abigail then attended the Caribbean’s finest college preparatory institution, Antilles School in St. Thomas. After graduation in 1995, she attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale before excelling in Public Relations with retailer Neiman Marcus. Abigail once again succeeded quickly in a hot & competitive market when she joined the Galleria Collection of Fine Homes Real Estate firm in Fort Lauderdale. This propelled her to make her dream come true and return home in the summer of 2002 to begin her real estate career with Holiday Homes. Her diverse background makes her uniquely suited to help you navigate St. John’s real estate market to make your Caribbean dream come true!

Jane Thill

As a seventeen year resident of St. John, Jane and her husband Adam reside in Chocolate Hole and pursue a variety of business and personal interests in the community. Jane’s studies at UCLA’s School of Hotel and Restaurant Management and a career as a chef led her to St. John where she conceptualized and started one of St. John’s most successful restaurants. She then opened a retail health food store with her husband and began investing in real estate. In addition, she is bilingual (English and Spanish), a certified Personal Trainer and an active triathalete. She is also Chairman and Coordinator of St. John’s annual “Run/Walk for the Cure” benefiting the American Cancer Society. Jane’s long history in local business and her understanding of the local community can help a you understand the complexities of St. John’s Real Estate and investing environment. Her commitment and focus are on personal care and attention to clients and customers, and her established, strong roots in St. John as well as her personal knowledge of the real estate market, will help you make your best real estate decisions.

Lynn has been a  great addition to the Holiday Homes team, but is not new to the housing market on St. John.  She previously worked for Catered To, one of Holiday Home’s affiliated property management companies.  She is excited to assist new customers in seeking “long term” living versus “short term”…..so to speak!! A native of Virginia Beach, she came to St. John 7 ½ years ago to spend time with her sister Maryann, an 18-year St. Johnian, and fell in love with the beautiful beaches and the “small town” island life style. She brings with her many years of experience in sales and marketing including working 10 years for a record retention/microfilming company.  She has been a member of the Holiday Homes team for the past three years providing outstanding service to her customers and clients. Snorkeling, hiking and entertaining her 2 dogs keep her active and as a licensed seamstress, she enjoys working on many interesting island style decorating and tailoring projects.  Her love of people and knowledge of St. John makes Lynn the perfect choice for customers seeking their piece of paradise.

Having lived in and traveled to many different places all over the world, Korin knew immediately how special St. John is. She and her husband visited St. John only once before deciding to move here and two months later they fulfilled their dream by buying a house and relocating. Korin's move to St. John also meant a new chapter in her working life and she eagerly chose a career in real estate. With a degree in Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech University, Korin spent five years working in the energy industry based in Houston, Texas. She had the opportunity to live and travel overseas and spent considerable time in South East Asia, Africa and Europe working on energy projects. Now Korin is very excited to help you with any of your real estate needs here on St. John. As a recent homebuyer on the island, Korin is intimately familiar with the entire process and truly understands the needs and concerns of future buyers. Korin is smart and very hardworking and would love to help you fulfill your St. John dream. She and her husband, Captain Mac, live in Fish Bay and actively participate in the many water sports available here including fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming and boating. Korin is also a former Division 1 volleyball player and avid tennis enthusiast and continues to play both whenever she can.

From the beautiful beaches of San Diego, California where she was raised, to the mountains of Sun Valley, Idaho where she taught in a private school, to the white sand beaches of St. John where Debbie has lived for the past 17 years... living in spectacular locations has always been a priority in her life. Seven years ago Debbie and her husband Jim took a year to travel around the world and upon returning decided to build their dream home, confirming her belief that there was no place in the world like St. John. Now, you can find her enjoying much of what St. John has to offer… swimming, boating, hiking and tennis in between working with her real estate customers and web site StJohnMLS.com. Since first becoming involved with real estate brokerage, Debbie has continued to show her commitment to the profession having earned her GRI and Broker’s license and now working toward her CRS designation. With her knowledge of St. John, her experience in building, her involvement with her internet site and technology skills, as well as her dedication in the field, Debbie is living her dream and has the tools to assist you in finding yours.

Sara Hale

A Massachusetts native and real estate agent, you may recognize her from The Lime Inn Restaurant, a St. John favorite, where she has worked for the past four years. Sara recently obtained her local license and we are pleased to add another experienced agent to our team. With a degree in Economics from the University of Arizona and both local and state side real estate licenses, Sara is sensitive to market trends around the Island and around the country. In her down time you can find her on the beach with a good book, or Island hopping with friends and family.

Jan Courlas

Jan and her family have been full time residents of St. John for nearly 10 years and were seasonal visitors to their Coral Bay home for over 30 years. Jan joined Holiday Homes in 2001 and has since attained her Broker’s license and GRI credentials. She has become a leading agent on St. John with listings and sales activity in recent years. In 2008, Jan is President of the St. John Board of Realtors after having served as Vice President and Chair of the MLS Committee in previous years. In 2007 and 2008, Jan served on the Board of Directors of the Virgin Islands Territorial Association of Realtors. Jan is active in community affairs and can often be seen swimming long distances at Maho Bay. She is active in the Coral Bay Community Council, the St. John Landsharks and is a Past-President of the St. John- Antilles School Parent Association.

Over the years, Jan has assisted with many fundraising activities for these and other organizations. For over 15 years, Jan was an owner of Vanguard Information Architects, Inc., a technology management consulting firm and prior to that was an executive with BankAmerica in Seattle, WA. She holds BA in Sociology and History and a Masters of Public Affairs from The American University. Her husband Jug and she live in Estate Carolina overlooking beautiful Coral Bay where they enjoy boating and the occasional visit from their two grown daughters Ashley (recent graduate of Cornell University) and Jackie (a Junior at Johnson & Wales University).
